We’ve Received a Preservation Achievement Award!

We're thrilled and honored that our Carriage House project was awarded a Preservation Achievement Award by the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance at their awards ceremony and 40th anniversary celebration on June 11th.

The Warner House Association Carriage House project was recognized for its reconstruction of an historic building based on period photographs, archaeological and scholarly research.

Deepest thanks to our team and key sponsors, including the late Dr. Robert Barth and Maria Barth, Louise Richardson and the late Basil Richardson, Ann Whitney, Chinburg Properties, NH Community Development Finance Authority, and the family of University of New Hampshire professors, including Darret B. and Anita H. Rutman.

The Carriage House expands opportunities to better understand our historic property and allows us to exhibit valuable, otherwise-unseen collections with proper humidity and temperature control. It provides long-desired accessibility and public restrooms; and offers members and guests a place for ticket sales, meetings, lectures, and historic interpretation.

The donation of significant ceramics collections by Bob Barth and Louise Richardson, and the library to support their identification, led to the construction of this new valuable facility, encouraged other gifts, and reinforced the Warner House’s important role as a center for ceramics study. We're grateful for all of the support and for this prestigious recognition.
